Sort by care label, choose a suitable cycle, measure detergent and respect programme load limits. Empty pockets before loading. Let the door unlock naturally. Shut off water if a hose leaks and isolate electricity only when safe and dry.
Keep the product manual and model reference where you can find them. Different programmes, accessories and maintenance procedures apply to different models, even within the same brand. Follow the instructions supplied with your appliance.
Use the detergent type and dose specified for the machine. Empty pockets, avoid overloading and run the recommended cleaning programme. Clean accessible filters only as instructed, with power off and water cooled. Keep children away from open doors and cleaning products.
Before routine cleaning, stop the appliance and follow its isolation and cooling instructions. Do not remove fixed protective panels. If a task is not described as user maintenance in the manual, arrange professional help.
A blocked hose or filter, failed pump or control fault may leave water in the drum. Do not force a locked door open; water may spill out.
Load imbalance, drainage failure, a door-lock fault or drive problems may prevent spin. Explain whether the drum turns during washing but stops during spin.
An uneven floor, unsuitable load, transport bolts or worn suspension can cause movement. Stop the cycle if the appliance moves dangerously.
Check that the tap is open and identify where a leak appears. Inlet valves, hoses, door seals and water-level controls need different checks.
Inspection follows filling, washing, draining and spinning. Checks may cover the lock, valves, pump, suspension, drive and controls. Drum or bearing replacement depends on whether the assembly is serviceable; some sealed tubs require a larger assembly. Compare the repair cost with replacement value before approving major work.
