AC runs but does not cool
A dirty filter, restricted coil, failed fan or refrigerant leak may reduce cooling. The inspection should establish the cause; gas charging alone does not repair a leak.

Close doors and windows during cooling, select a comfortable setpoint and keep air paths clear. Use remote modes described in the manual. Persistent leaking, burnt smells or repeated tripping need professional inspection.
Keep the product manual and model reference where you can find them. Different programmes, accessories and maintenance procedures apply to different models, even within the same brand. Follow the instructions supplied with your appliance.
Let cleaned filters dry fully before reinstalling. Keep outdoor airflow clear without climbing or reaching into the unit. Avoid frequent on/off switching and have persistent icing investigated. Cleaning intervals depend on dust, usage and the exact model instructions.
Before routine cleaning, stop the appliance and follow its isolation and cooling instructions. Do not remove fixed protective panels. If a task is not described as user maintenance in the manual, arrange professional help.

A blocked drain, incorrect slope or ice on the coil can cause dripping. Keep nearby sockets dry and stop using the unit if water reaches electrical fittings.
Supply issues, damaged wiring, a capacitor or compressor fault can look similar. Do not repeatedly reset a tripping circuit breaker.
Record the code and whether it appears immediately or after running. Fan contact, loose mounts and control faults need different checks.
An AC inspection separates airflow problems from electrical and sealed-system faults. Depending on symptoms, checks may include filter and coil condition, drain flow, fan operation, temperature sensing and electrical measurements. Refrigerant work needs the correct refrigerant, leak assessment and suitable tools. Ask what the estimate covers before authorising it.
